Terms of Service
These terms govern access to Family Assets and explain the rules that apply when you use the service.
Last updated: January 14, 2026
Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Family Assets governing your use of our website, applications, and related services. By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using the service, you agree to these terms and to the policies referenced from them.
If you do not agree, you must not use the service. If you use Family Assets on behalf of a household, organization, or another person, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
Service overview
Family Assets helps households document, organize, and maintain information about family members, assets, devices, records, and related documents. Features may include collaboration, document storage, search, export, and administrative tools.
We may improve, change, or discontinue features over time. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice before materially reducing core functionality.
Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activities carried out through your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current.
- You must not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- You must not upload content you do not have permission to store or share.
- You must not interfere with the service, security controls, or other users.
- You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access.
Subscriptions, fees, and customer data
Some features are available only on paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis unless stated otherwise at checkout. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and renewal amounts to your selected payment method.
You retain ownership of the data and content you submit to Family Assets. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, back up, and display that material only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in our refund policy. Current plan details and limits are shown in-product or at the point of purchase.
Suspension, termination, and liability
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these terms have been violated, the service is being misused, or continued access would create material legal, security, or operational risk. Where appropriate, we will provide notice.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. To that same extent, we disclaim implied warranties and limit liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Updates, references, and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will revise the effective date and may also notify you by email or through the product. Continued use of the service after the revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
